Religious Intelligence
After 400 years of discovery, insight, experimentation and a growing global awareness of human existence for the first time in the brief history (200,000-300,000 years) of the human species, it's clear in the 21st century that an individual's personal belief in the various religious dogma entrenched in almost every population on Earth is a powerful indicator and determinant of the level of reality awareness and intelligence in that individual...A brain that can dismiss the evidence (or lack of) over a history of thousands of years and still not understand in a non-threatening way that the religions of Earth are inventions of humans dealing with unknown realities in a hostile world will be incapable of understanding or recognizing other realities (verified & testable) that define human existence...
Humans do not know if a vast intelligence or a 'God' exists either within this Universe or outside of it, but it's clear to any human with the density of neural growth to understand human existence that all the religions that permeate through the historical record of human development for thousands of years were all initiated by a species questioning natural phenomenon and human behavior without an awareness of Earth's physical reality and without the tools of science necessary to understand that reality...In this century, after an unprecedented 400 years of scientific discovery that has verified the physical reality of human existence on Earth and the physical laws that determine every interaction in this Universe, there is no evidence of any kind that prove or even suggest the existence of deities or their involvement in daily human affairs...No miracles, no magic, no resurrections, no ghosts, no witches, no zombies, no supernatural intervention, no super heroes, not a single event through all of human history that violated physics and the natural laws that determine cause and effect within this known reality (Universe)...Still billions of humans “worship” some kind of God or Deity...Why?
The answer is surprisingly simple but it's doubtful those who believe in God's and Demon's will accept scientific explanations that challenge their “faith”...There are portions of the human brain that are millions of years old which control instincts and behavior from before the time of primates (fear, survival, sex, anxiety, longing, hunger, aggression, territorial instincts) and areas of the brain more recently developed that are rational, logical, curious and inquisitive with an increasing ability and awareness to understand causality and complexity...It's the fluidity and density of the neural nets that facilitate internal communication between these differing areas of the brain that determine how every human understands a proven reality and the nature of existence...Simple, right? Not yet...
The complex, multifaceted, singular reason for the inability of billions of humans to understand their reality are the environmental factors that impact every single person on Earth during their first three years of life (1,000 days)...During this critical time of brain growth there is a formula (Attachment, Nutrition, Sleep, Positive Stimulation, No Physical Discipline) with the first three being of primary importance in the first year of life...It makes sense, sounds easy and scientific studies are continuing to verify the impact of these environmental factors early in life, but an alarming number of small humans starve every day and millions are under-nourished, 'wasted', hungry, abused, ignored and forgotten in a world where war is the natural order of things and inequality grows as the 'faithful' continue to insist all is according to God's plan...The inability of a global civilization to understand the critical, essential needs of every human born is a stunning indictment of the human race and clear evidence of the ignorance of an entire species...
If every baby's nutritional needs were met in the first three years of life with safety, secure attachment and an absence of violence it would change the world...In the age old debate of nature vs nurture: nature (genetic) = 15% nurture (environmental factors) = 85%
The challenge is this...Earth is an incredibly beautiful and bountiful world existing today in one of many configurations changing in geological time over billions of years that supports the existence of carbon-based life...Earth is also an incredibly violent world with 7.5 billion humans who understand life to be territorial confrontation from cradle to grave, 195 tribes competing for resources and land with military's and powerful governments in every nation that determine the distribution of goods and services, medicine, food, money, housing, even who lives and who dies...An inefficient, primitive structural hierarchy by any definition...The humans in power maintain that power through military force in every country on Earth and the humans close to those in power prosper while all others exist in a tenuous reality that can change in an instant...70 million refugees, millions more dying from a lack of healthcare, millions without education and millions dying in wars and conflicts verify these “normal” primitive hierarchical structures found everywhere on Earth...
The ability to recognize reality and the nature of human existence is directly related to a lack of internal communication between the recently developed human brain and a million year old reptilian brain (hardwired for survival) that whispers doubt, confusion and a fear of the unknown reconciled by religious beliefs (conspiracy theories? superstitions?) that tell you “God has a Plan” for the hungry children you walk past so 'don't interfere', this is the way it's supposed to work, someone's controlling this”...Sadly, this inability to recognize the physical nature and definable reality of human existence represents over six billion humans (maybe more) on Earth today and is the cause of unimaginable suffering on multiple continents, hunger, famine, global pollution, a growing income inequality and the absence of any kind of healthcare or safety net for billions of humans in desperate need but who are 'expendable' in the competition for life within our own species...
There are 2043 billionaires on Earth in 2017...Almost 13 million millionaires...
